Home is more than a place. It’s freedom, dignity, and independence.

For seniors, remaining at home is about far more than convenience. It’s about identity, comfort, and the confidence that comes from living life on your own terms. But one fall, one missed hazard, or one overlooked safety risk can quickly shift that independence toward crisis.

Kūpuna Keepers was created to prevent that shift before it happens. Through proactive, recurring home safety visits we help Hawaiʻi’s seniors live their best years — safely, comfortably, and with the full support of a trusted professional watching over the details.

It’s far less costly — financially and emotionally — to invest in prevention at home than to recover from a crisis in a care facility. Kūpuna Keepers is the smarter, more compassionate choice.

Chuck is a wonderful young man who is ideal for these services. He is respectful, kind, caring and skilled in many ways. He has our strong recommendation.

One visit. One standard. Every time. Every Kūpuna Keepers visit delivers the same complete safety package — no upsells, no tiers, no surprises.

What Kūpuna Keepers is not

  • Not medical care or hands-on caregiving
  • Not bathing, dressing, or personal assistance
  • Not heavy cleaning or repairs
  • Not financial or legal advice
  • Not physical transfer or lifting assistance

The most important time to act is before the crisis.

There is a window of time — often years — when proactive support can dramatically extend a senior’s independence, prevent costly emergencies, and protect the family from the emotional and financial toll of a crisis. We call this the Golden Window.

Once a crisis occurs — a serious fall, a medical emergency, a hazard that goes unnoticed too long — the window closes. The families who act within the Golden Window give their kūpuna the best possible chance of thriving at home for as long as possible.

01

Identify Risks Before They Become Emergencies

A professional safety visit catches hazards families often overlook — before they cause harm.

02

Build a Consistent Safety Rhythm

Regular visits create a documented pattern of care — and catch small changes before they become big problems.

03

Give Families Real Peace of Mind

Knowing a trained, trusted professional is visiting regularly changes everything — for kūpuna and for the families who love them.

What is the Golden Window?

The Golden Window is the period before a crisis occurs — when prevention is still possible, independence is still strong, and proactive support can make the greatest difference.

Kūpuna Keepers exists to serve families inside that window. To extend it for as long as possible and to make every year within it as safe, comfortable, and joyful as it can be.

The question is not whether to act. It is whether to act now — while the window is still open.

A complete framework for aging in place safely.

Every Kūpuna Keepers visit is structured around four pillars that together create a safe, comfortable, and resilient home environment. This framework ensures nothing important is ever missed — and that your kūpuna is protected from every angle.

S
Pillar One

Safety

We identify and correct hidden home hazards — fall risks, fire hazards, lighting failures, bathroom dangers, and accessibility barriers — before they cause harm.

C
Pillar Two

Comfort

We make thoughtful adjustments — pathway clearing, lighting improvements, airflow checks, minor furniture adjustments — that help kūpuna move through their home with confidence and ease.

S
Pillar Three

Security

We check doors, windows, sliders, and exterior access points — and verify that security systems, smoke detectors, and safety devices are operational and ready.

P
Pillar Four

Preparedness

We support emergency readiness — updating ICE cards, reviewing evacuation plans, auditing emergency supplies, and ensuring your kūpuna is ready when Hawaiʻi’s conditions demand it.

One complete visit. The same thorough standard, every time.

Every Kūpuna Keepers visit is a structured 30–90 minute safety appointment covering the same complete checklist — delivered with the same care, attention, and thoroughness regardless of when you schedule. This is what consistency looks like in practice.

Clear About Scope

Chuck understands exactly what Kūpuna Keepers does — and does not do. Clear scope means consistent, trustworthy service every time.

Rooted in Hawaiʻi. Built for kūpuna.

Chuck founded Seniorfitness in 2005, working one-on-one with seniors in their homes across Honolulu. Over 15 years he learned that what mattered most wasn’t any single service — it was trust, consistency, and the feeling of being genuinely cared for at home.

Kūpuna Keepers was built on that foundation. Every visit reflects not just professional training but a personal calling — to help Hawaiʻi’s seniors live their best years safely, comfortably, and with dignity in the place they love most.

A calling rooted in aloha and a lifetime of service.

Health, fitness, and service have always been at the heart of who I am. After earning my degree in Health and Fitness Management from Pacific Lutheran University, I followed my calling to Hawaiʻi, where I combined my passion for wellness with a deep respect for our kūpuna.

In 2005, I founded Seniorfitness, working one-on-one with seniors in their homes to help them stay active and connected. Over the years, I learned that while movement was important, what truly mattered was trust, consistency, and the feeling of being supported at home.

That insight inspired the creation of Kūpuna Keepers — a recurring, in-home safety service designed to help seniors age in place safely and with dignity. Through structured safety visits, emergency preparedness support, and the comfort of a trusted, consistent presence, we help kūpuna remain confident in the place they love most: home.

For families, it’s peace of mind. For kūpuna, it’s the independence they’ve earned. And for me, it’s a privilege to serve both.

It’s all in the name…

Choosing a name for this company wasn’t easy. Then one day, a memory came to mind — a Christian movement from the ’90s called Promise Keepers. Almost instantly, the words Kūpuna Keepers came to me.

My last name, Inman, originates from England and was used to describe someone who managed an inn — a place of shelter and rest. The word keeper means caretaker, curator, defender, guard, protector, steward.

Kūpuna Keepers is more than a name. It reflects my heritage, my purpose, and my belief that our kūpuna deserve to be honored, protected, and cared for in the place they call home. This isn’t just a business. It’s a calling.
